From the desk of Joey Perez: State of the J-Live Entertainment Address February 4, 2008
Hello again to all J-Live Entertainment supporters, clients, sponsors, staff, and family. Can you believe it? It’s already February 2009. Wow, time definitely flies by really fast. I am writing this address today to update you all on everything J-Live Entertainment and what our future holds not only in 2009 but plans that we have over the next few years. In 2008 we talked expansion. Expansion is the one word our company thrived on last year and we accomplished some goals in expanding all areas of our fast growing company. And expand we did. The Next Big Thing Talent Show signed a deal with the Porterville Fair to expand the shows reach to new areas and finding new talent in a part of the Central Valley that is often ignored. We had a great time in Porterville and will be back again in 2009. There is an enormous amount of talent out there, but something tells me that this year the talent show will receive an even bigger response after spectators were introduced to the show last year. 3 contestants from last year’s show were given the opportunity of a lifetime when they took the stage with the platinum selling female group Danity Kane during J-Live Entertainment’s big concert at the Kings Fair in July. Don’t forget about our 2008 Fresno Fair winners. After winning the talent competition the talented female dance group from Fresno opened for Baby Bash and Sean Kingston. And this year will be no different. Keep looking out for audition dates on www.jliveent.com as they will be announced very soon. Along with the Talent Show’s expansion we also expanded several divisions of J-Live Entertainment, our services in web television, nightlife and the Mobile DJ industry. A project that started as a hobby and a “word of mouth” service has turned into one of J-Live Entertainment’s most profitable divisions. The J-Live Entertainment Mobile DJ Service has been taking Central Valley California by storm as we started really pushing and promoting the service in 2008. Over 400 events including weddings, birthdays, school dances, quinceneras, and many other great events later the year culminated with our 1-year agreement with Premier Bride (Central Valley’s premiere bridal expo). I have to admit we were the most popular booth there. Competition had nothing on us. J I kid, I kid. Be sure to book your next event with us in 2009 and give us a call for a free quote at 559-381-5680. J-Live Entertainment Television launched in January of 2008 at Livin Loud Seven. “The Dream will now Stream online”…that’s how I started our newest venture. As high school students, James Flores (J-Live Entertainment’s Television Director) and I always had the same visions and ideas in regards to filming, editing and broadcasting. The system was simple, James was the guy on the computer-editing, cutting, pasting etc. and I was the talent. (That’s it. Other than talking in front of a camera I really have no other talent, J. It was really cool to have it all come full circle when we launched and successfully produced our own original online programs in season 1. Season 2 of J-Live TV is coming very soon, so be on the lookout. We introduced our new nightlife division “NITELive!” and started promotions like our “Wannabe Rockstar Nite” (Rockband/Guitar Hero Karaoke) with our first client Amigos Visalia. We plan on producing some more exciting promotions with new clients as well in 2009. We expanded with two major productions that included invading the Hanford Mall with Roscoe Umali, and bringing in Danity Kane in front of over 2000 screaming fans at the Kings Fair. We expanded our staff that now includes Ya Boy B (my brother), Eddie Barrientos, and our newly crowned Vice President of our Mobile DJ division Josh Cronk. We still have our street team and also added some new faces in the mix like Monique from B95, Erika Razo formerly a KSEE 24 reporter, and DJ Dizzy one of the hottest DJ’s out in Central Valley California. I guess you can see my point now. We lived up to our “Expansion” theme in 2008. I have not decided what theme or word I would like to follow this year. Until I figured it out this past weekend in Los Angeles at the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. In 2009 J-Live Entertainment will be “Giving Back”. That’s right. In these times of economic uncertainty and negative world news J-Live Entertainment are going to be “Giving Back” the best entertainment we can produce for a reasonable, affordable price to our customers and a lot more FREE events. And best of all, were going to give that all back to Central Valley California. You made us who we are, and now it’s time for us to show you appreciation and “GIVE BACK!” Company-wide were going to the best we can to accommodate to our customers budgets and making sure that if you spend your dollars with us, you are going to receive the best bang for your buck! And what are we working on now? Currently we are working on our summer schedule, which traditionally is our biggest time of the year. We will be making some announcements shortly on our confirmed events that will include a sporting event and a major concert. I would like to produce Livin Loud 8 in April and Livin Loud 9 in September and were definitely looking for local bands to showcase our annual rock and roll tradition. The Next Big Thing Talent Show returns to the Porterville Fair in May, Kings Fair in July, and the Big Fresno Fair in October. Will continue our Mall promotions as well this year, which are all Free admission events, “Fight Day”, “Back 2 School Catwalk Live! Fashion Show/Concert”, “Next Big Thing Talent Show Auditions”, and our “Kings of the Stage 4” (a true battle of the bands) competition that is always free with fair admission in July. Our minds are constantly thinking of ways to improve our company and ways to entertain you the consumer, the person that pays a ticket to watch one of our productions. This year we want to find ways to distract you from all the craziness that is going on in the world. I’m going to be honest. I am not this “high rolling” promoter with a big budget. I am just a regular kid from Hanford that had a dream is continuing to pursue it no matter what is going on with the world. (I’m a hustler with a big mouth and a small budget J) I have a day job with the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino and I am blessed to work with some of the best professionals in the entertainment industry today. I guess the point I’m trying to make is, that I am going to do everything in my power to make sure Central Valley California are entertained with some big, unique and “one of a kind” events. J-Live Entertainment are just one of the many local promoters or producers that are going above and beyond to provide Central California with some great events this year. Companies like A Work of Art, Trill Promo, Lewis Everk, Relentless &Rich Promotions, and many others are out there hustling and producing some great events. And we have nothing but respect for all other entertainment companies out there. In 2009, get out and enjoy life. And if you do, make sure to check out one of our shows. Will be “Giving Back” in a big way. And that’s a guarantee.
