PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 11, 2009
“Kings of the Stage IV” returns to the Kings Fair in July.
Interested bands will need to sign up by JUNE 26!!!, as bands will
be selected early this year.
Local entertainment promoter Joey Perez wants to “shake things
up” this year at the Kings Fair in July.
Perez, who is the Founder of J-Live Entertainment, will produce
and host the Next Big Thing Talent Show, a major sporting
production in the works, and the fourth annual “Kings of the
Stage” a true battle of the bands.
“It’s time to shake things up and add some new elements to our
productions at the Kings Fair”, said Perez.
Perez and his crew are starting with the fourth annual “Kings of
the Stage” a true battle of the bands.
Sign ups for the 2009 local band contest will begin earlier this
year starting March 30.
“In the past we have selected bands a month or even a week prior
to the Fair opening doors. This year we want to select bands
earlier and really promote the 8 bands performing properly, so
they can get the turnout and exposure they deserve”, Perez said.
Interested bands can send the following required information to
the Kings Fair office: Band demo (CD), bio, band resume, and
photo to the Kings Fair at (801 S. 10th Avenue - P.O.Box 14 -
Hanford, California 93232). Incomplete band packets will not be
accepted. Deadline for entry is June 26, 2009. Phone
calls or emails will not be accepted.
Over 8,000 online votes in 2008 gave 8 local bands a chance to
rock on stage at the Kings Fair and compete for an opportunity
at $500 in cash.
But Perez says there were problems with online votes.
“We had an issue with some online voting failures, but this year
we have organized a group of individuals introducing our J-Live
Entertainment Music Committee to select the final 8 local bands
that will play on July 9”, said Perez.
J-Live Entertainment present their fourth annual “Kings of the
Stage” a true battle of the bands during the 2009 Kings Fair on
Thursday July 9 at the Fair’s outdoor theater with an 8pm start
time.
“We created this competition to give local bands an opportunity
to shine, we have a talent show for singers, dancers, rappers,
etc.
which is the Next Big Thing, but this show is where bands can
rock out on the big stage at the
Kings Fair”, said Joey Perez, Founder of J-Live Entertainment.
8 local bands will be chosen to compete in the fourth annual
Kings of the Stage show, and the winning bands will receive
commemorative crowns and $500 in cash.
